Weavers Cottage is situated in a private road, right in the heart of Southwold off Southwold Common and Southwold golf course. There is easy access to all amenities and everything Southwold has to offer on your doorstep. Southwold is a quintessential English holiday destination, suitable for all ages, dog walkers, bird spotters, nature lovers, culture lovers and for people who appreciate good food and (of course), a sup of Adnams. The cottage is easily reached from The High Street, past the Blyth Hotel (after crossing Mights Bridge), then turn right before Barnaby Green into Spinners Lane. At the end of Spinners Lane lies 'Rope Walk' where rope and fishing net twine was made in the mid 19th century. Ground Floor:- Sitting Room:- A very comfy, welcoming room with 3 seater sofa bed, 2 seater sofa/1 chair/small trunk. Panasonic 43ins flat smart screen & Blu Ray Player. DAB radio in the kitchen. Wide range of books/DVDs/Games (as in Loom Cottage). Full gas central heating/radiators. Thermostat. Free WIFI (not guaranteed in the event of breakdown). Hallway with cupboard/mirror/space for outer wear, leading to: -Bathroom, Bath and WC with effective MICRA shower over bath and well-stocked Kitchen/Diner with electric oven/hob/microwave/ larder fridge/table/seating for 4/radio. Kitchen/Diner has stable door leading to small enclosed back yard and (step up) internal door to Carpeted enclosed staircase(not overly steep) with right handrail to:- First Floor:-Two Bedrooms:- Double/Twin (layout as in Loom Cottage). Garden:- Patio area with table and chairs at front, small enclosed back yard at rear, pedestrian right of way over rear of no 6. Parking:- In Spinners Lane (subject to availability), also free parking available on nearby Southwold common. Private road/always easy to unload/load car. Loom & Weavers are 2 semi-detached white-washed cottages (they can be booked individually or as a pair) which are on the immediate right as you enter the Lane. Loom Cottage is on the farside, Weavers is on the nearside. Both are compact and comfortable, with a real 'home to home' feel. There is an outside area to the front of both properties, where it is perfect to sit and watch the world go by, and many homely additions including a really good book and DVD collection. We welcome dogs (for a small additional charge) on the proviso they stay downstairs! Being right off the common, it's a perfect base for pooches! The properties are circa pre-1840, but have been very sympathetically updated, with very comfy furnishings. Spinners Lane has only 7 other properties, and the garage for Loom is just 15m down the Lane from the cottage. There is a small enclosed back yard for each (Loom has seating at the back). The pubs, shops and beach are all within 5- 10 mins walk away, fish & chip shop 2 mins walk! The cottages can be booked throughout the year for/short breaks/weekends (although these would be mainly out of season). The garage for Loom in the Lane is clearly marked and there is parking (subject to availability) for Weavers occupants and from our own experience, it's normally easy enough to find a space.
